Every Tuesday at York County Community College (YCCC) from 1 to 3 PM, we hold HawkXR Club. HawkXR is the premier space available to the Wells community for learning about and exploring the world of Virtual Reality (VR). All you need to do to join is to find an application on the Meta App Store that you would like to learn more about. You can find the HawkXR Club in room 130 on the first floor of the main YCCC campus in Wells.

Following that, every Wednesday at YCCC from 3 to 4:30, we hold Metaverse Academia. Metaverse Academia is a class run by passionate educators and technologists from the Resonite Community and founded by Miss Molly. Every Wednesday this class is held where immersive learning experiences are offered through social VR, and we are extending out an open invitation to anyone in the Wells community to join us. We currently have the technology to have up to two active users at a time and are seeking out the resources to run more simultaneous sessions, but there is no limit to the number of passive participants we can have. So, if you would like to learn how to create in VR, I highly recommend you check out the Metaverse Academia website and join us on Wednesdays in the CJ/VR Lab in room 130.

Lastly, for those who want to hang out with the larger VR community, Metaverse Academia and ICXR hold events on Saturdays for you to get involved in. These events include a general meeting held by ICXR for collegiate VR clubs around the world (7 PM); a Show & Tell held by Metaverse Academia, where you get to show off your creations in VR and see what others have created (10 PM); and a VRChat social hangout session held by ICXR (10 PM).
